Salomón leads the Specialized Industries Banking team within Citi Mexico’s Corporate Bank. His team covers a wide range of sectors, including metals and mining, energy and renewables, oil and gas, and infrastructure.He joined Citi’s investment banking division in July 2011, based in New York, as part of the Energy and Utilities team. Over the years, Salomón worked on numerous advisory, debt, and equity transactions in the U.S., mainly focused on leveraged and project finance deals.In 2015, he moved to the Mexico City office to work with clients in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors, including Pemex and CFE from 2016 to 2019. Today, his main focus is on structured financing, including acquisition finance, leveraged loans, and project finance. During his time in Mexico, Salomón has helped clients raise more than USD 30 billion in debt and equity transactions.Since 2021, he has been leading infrastructure financing in Mexico, connecting with Citi’s global specialized team. And since 2022, he also heads Metals and Mining banking across Latin America, bringing his deep experience to this evolving and growing sector for Citi.Salomón holds a degree in Economics from ITAM in Mexico City and an MBA from the Darden School of Business in Virginia, USA. He’s married and has three children.
